Frequently Asked Questions

Vehicle Eligibility & Compatibility

  • Which vehicles qualify for a camper conversion?
All minivans as well as medium to large SUVs qualify. Most makes, models, and years of production apply. Refer to our Gallery to view some our past projects.

  • Which vehicles do not qualify for a conversion?
We do not service RVs, large cargo vans (e.g., Sprinter, Transit, ProMaster, Econoline, Express), station wagons, hatchbacks, or crossovers.

  • Is the camper build secured to the vehicle?
Yes. Every build is snugly anchored and secured to the vehicle's existing frame layout for maximum safety and stability while driving.

  • Is the camper build removable?
Yes. Our modular designs can be partially or completely removed to restore your vehicle's original passenger functionality.

  • How long does it take to remove a camper build?
Removal takes anywhere from 10 to 120 minutes, depending entirely on your specific build level and complexity.

Customization & Capabilities

  • Can you modify a build level to fit my specific needs?
Yes. Some structural and electrical aspects of each tier can be tailored to your requirements. Refer to our Build Levels menu to review baseline features. Customizable elements include:

    • Overall layout design, bed size, and platform height

    • Wood stain color choices and storage configurations

    • Solar panel output, lithium battery bank capacity, and inverter size

    • Total number of integrated 12V or USB outlets

  • Can I bring my own camping gear and equipment to custom fit into the build?
Yes. We happily accommodate and integrate customer-provided gear, provided it is compatible with our structural framing and dimensions.

  • Can you perform standard RV upgrades like roof vents, wooden ceilings, diesel heaters, or AC units?
No. We specialize strictly in modular, removable woodwork and tailored electrical conversions for minivans and SUVs. We do not offer standard RV coach modifications.

  • Do you sell DIY blueprints or pre-assembled kits for shipping?
No. Every project is completely handcrafted and custom-fitted on-site. We do not sell DIY blueprints or offer shippable assembly kits.

Logistics, Timelines, & Pricing

  • Do I need to bring my vehicle to your shop for the build?

  • Where is your shop located?
Our shop is located in Watsonville, California.
